Worthwhile - Melody Save Me
All these years later and I still get chills every time I watch this.

The hardest thing in the world is to be honest with yourself when everything everything around you is collapsing. Being strong and admitting when you’re not doing well is the greatest gift you can give yourself and others. Be strong, you’re loved.
Am I doing wrong?

Dying for something is easy because it is associated with glory. Living for something is the hard thing. Living for something extends beyond fashion, glory, or recognition. We live for what we believe.
I believe the greatest trick of the devil is not to get us into some sort of evil but rather have us wasting time. This is why the devil tries so hard to get Christians to be religious. If he can sink a man’s mind into habit, he will prevent his heart from engaging God. I was into habit.
I am adding this link because I really believe and support what this website is about. Be sure to check it out and read the vision section.

Why do I only want? When You’re all that I need.
The most important thing that happens within Christian spirituality is when a person falls in love with Jesus.
Tonight I wasn’t able to fall asleep. I had thoughts rushing through my head; keeping me awake, making me sick. I did one of two things I do when I get like this, I read. I picked up A Million Miles in a Thousand Years by Donald Miller for the first time in months.
If you’ve never read or heard of A Million Miles in a Thousand Years, it’s about Don Miller essentially editing his life (hence the new title of my blog) when he gets the opportunity to turn a previous book (Blue Like Jazz) into a movie. Through this process Miller learns what it takes to create a good movie, and thinks about living a life like that of a movie. That is where he makes you think: If your life were made into a movie, what kind of movie would it be?
We are all essentially living a story, but what really makes a good story? The answer to that is entirely up to you and what kind of story you want to live, because maybe that’s all we’re really here for. Maybe we’re all just supposed to live our lives and be happy.
“It’s as though God is saying, Write a good story, take somebody with you, and let me help.” - Donald Miller
Don Miller may just be the wisest man I know; which is ironic since I’ve never actually met the guy. But after reading two novels about his life, I feel as though I know him better than I know myself. I’ve read his story, his remarkable story, his story that has changed my life, but I do not yet have a story of my own. I’m 18 and this is the start of my story. I don’t know where my story is going to take me, I just know that it’s going to be a better story than the one I’m living right now.
What kind of story are YOU living?
